Iffen your talking about on here then that seems to happen doesn't it........Tis not the easiest with using text as it can so often get miscontrued and meanings lost etc ........... I would be more concerned about the friends in my day to day world outside of these kitchens and wanting to develop meaningful relationships with them or perhaps make new friends.   If you manage to form a friendship on here that is true then count yourself blessed  :icon_yes:  :icon_yes:

A friend is someone you can trust :icon_yes: tell secrets too and know them well
enough to know they would never repeat something that was told in sercet. Hard
to find those days   :icon_yes: A friend is someone who is always there for you
no matter what, and one who would tell you if you were doing something wrong.

I always consider family as being the most important in my life and friends being a close second. These internet friends, while being important,is just that.Sometimes it works out for the best and sometimes it is just a passing moment.I will say though, over the years,I have met hundreds that I would never have met if it were not for the internet and I have never met one person that I can say that I did not enjoy meeting and would be very happy to call on them as friends.I hope that they consider me the same.

A friend is someone who can come in your house, and look in your drawers, and never tell anyone how messy they were. :13:

I mean your dresser drawers  :nanner_01:

hi Boozie
I seen this thread and I had to respond and I know what it,s like to lose a friend
it really hurts and sucks, but i have always been a beliver in this saying “A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”

just always remember that a true friends loves you for who you are and will be a friend no matter what there nothing that can,t be forgiven  :2:

“A friend is a hand that is always holding yours, no matter how close or far apart you may be. A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care. A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.”

A friend comes to visit you when you're sick... NOT a few days before you die.

I think you guys use the word friend way to loosely and many of the things said in this thread do not at all have affinity to the true meaning of friendship.

A true friend is one who knows where you've been, knows where you're going, knows where you are, understands you, knows how you think, knows how you handle things and still treasures the time spent with you. A friend is one who values you in his or her life and if and when you hurt, he hurts. A true friend is one when something isn't right in your life, something isn't right in his and he will do anything to make it right because he needs it to be right.
A true friend is somebody who stands beside you even when you were wrong and no matter how bad you've been.

There may be a few who have found friends in these kitchens. But VERY VERY few....

To be frank, from my perspective, most have proven and probably even myself, that in these "kitchens", there are no friends at all and nobody cannot be trusted as a "true friend' as described above.  Perhaps it isn't possible.

They say if we have two good friends in our lives we are lucky. I am blessed. I have five people in my real life that I know are my friends.

We all fall for it in here at one time or another, but history from the sites proves, there is no such thing.

We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best we can find in our travels is an honest friend.

Here today and gone tomorrow myson...... De best you should ask for from these kitchens is to have a laff with people and never get close to anyone.   Smiley If ya take that advice you'll be left with a smile instead of sorrow and regret.   Smiley

Carry on as if you was normal.   Smiley

well I was gonna stay outta here but decided to put my 2 cents worth in!a friend is someone who don't make threads like this with the sole purpose of hurting someone who probably is the best friend you ever had! punish

Hence, the result of getting close in these kitchens.

Betrayl has to be about the worst thing that can happen between two people whom were supposed to be honest friends.
Although it hurts right now, in time it does pass and you will clearly see how trust is something that only lasts until your "friend" has other desires to pursue. At that point it's all out the door.

Trust yourself only.

"Trust yourself only"  hummmmmmm i like that statment.

the best friend you will ever have is yourself.

as far as chat room friends, tis here today and gone tomorrow  :rotfl:

but there are people who will always stand out in a crowd even in a chat room.

WHAT IS A FRIEND?

SOMEONE WHO LISTENS

SOMEONE WHO TELLS
YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT YOURSELF AND
YOU LISTEN AND APPRECIATE IT

SOMEONE WHO YOU WOULD BREAK
ALL APPOINTMENTS TO BE WITH
SOMEONE WHO ARRIVES UNEXPECTEDLY
AS YOU ARE GOING OUT AND YOU WANT
WITH ALL YOUR HEART TO TAKE THEM WITH YOU
SOMEONE YOU DON'T WANT TO LEAVE,
NO MATTER HOW MUCH TIME
YOU HAVE SPENT WITH THEM

Yesterday Que was playing with some of his friends(7 & and 8 year olds) up the street, and he comes home crying, because a 10 year old girl told him he couldn't play with them.

So say's to me, "I'm going back up there and tell her, that God says that all children should play together."

ps.
It must have worked because he didn't come back right away.  :clap0000:
